Google Business Profile checklist for aesthetic clinics.
A clear profile helps suitable local customers understand where you are, what you do and how to take the next step. These checks focus on accuracy and customer confidence—not shortcuts or ranking guarantees.
1. Verify the profile and complete the essentials
Confirm that the profile is verified and that the clinic name, address, telephone number, website and regular hours are complete. Google says accurate, complete information helps it understand when a profile is relevant and helps customers know when they can visit.
Compare every field with the website footer and contact page. Resolve conflicting hours or addresses before adding more content.
2. Use the real clinic name
The profile name should match how the clinic is consistently represented on its signage, website and stationery. Do not add treatment keywords, locations, offers or taglines unless they genuinely form part of the recognised business name.
Google warns that unnecessary additions can lead to profile changes or suspension. Put service, location and opening information in their proper fields instead.
3. Choose a precise primary category
Select the category that best completes the sentence “this business is a…”. Use additional categories sparingly and only when they describe the clinic itself—not every treatment, product or nearby business.
Google says categories affect local ranking and notes that health and beauty businesses may gain profile features such as services and booking buttons. Review the primary category after any meaningful change in the clinic’s core offer.
4. Make opening hours dependable
Keep regular hours aligned across Google, the website and the booking platform. Add special hours for public holidays, temporary changes and planned closures rather than leaving customers to guess.
Test the profile as a customer would: search on mobile, check whether the clinic appears open, then compare that message with the contact and booking pages.
5. Connect the shortest valid booking route
Use the website field for the correct clinic website and, when the profile offers it, link the booking action to the most direct dependable appointment route. Avoid sending high-intent visitors through an unrelated homepage or a page with no visible next step.
Open the link in a private browser window and on a phone. Confirm that it loads, identifies the same clinic and location, explains the appointment type, and offers a clear fallback if the booking tool fails.
6. Use reviews and photos as current evidence
Google recommends responding to reviews and adding photos and videos. Ask for honest feedback without scripting praise, reply professionally, and never reveal treatment or health information in a public response.
Use recent, representative images of the genuine premises, team and customer experience. Remove outdated photos when they could mislead visitors about the location or service.
7. Measure the path, not just profile views
Record calls, website visits and booking actions separately, then compare them with completed enquiries or appointments. Profile activity is useful directional evidence, but it is not the same as revenue or a confirmed patient.
Google describes local results mainly in terms of relevance, distance and prominence. No supplier can remove distance or guarantee a position, so judge changes by customer actions and data quality rather than rank promises.
